How to Download TikTok Videos Without Watermark on iPhone

Updated July 2026 · KeepClip

When you save a TikTok using the app's own "Save video" button, TikTok stamps a bouncing watermark and your username across the clip. That watermark makes the video look unprofessional in edits, and Instagram and YouTube are known to reduce the reach of videos that carry another platform's branding.

The good news: you can save the clean, original MP4 straight to your iPhone using nothing but Safari. No app, no App Store download, no account. Here is exactly how.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Copy the TikTok link

Open the TikTok app, find the video, tap the Share arrow (➡) on the right side, then tap "Copy link".

  2. 2

    Open the downloader in Safari

Switch to Safari and go to keepclip.live/tiktok-video-downloader.

  3. 3

    Paste and download

Tap the input box, choose Paste, then press Download. Pick "HD MP4" when the options appear.

  4. 4

    Save it to Photos

Safari saves the file to your Files app. Open Files → Downloads, tap the video, tap the Share icon, then choose "Save Video" to move it into Photos.

Why the video lands in Files instead of Photos

This trips up a lot of iPhone users. Safari on iOS does not download videos straight into your camera roll — it puts them in the Files app first. That is an Apple security behaviour, not a problem with the download.

Getting it into Photos takes one extra tap: open the Files app, tap Downloads, tap your video, hit the Share button in the bottom-left corner, and select "Save Video". It will then appear in your camera roll like any other clip, ready to edit or repost.

What to do if the download does not start

  • Make sure the video is public — private accounts and "friends only" videos cannot be downloaded by any tool.
  • Check you copied the full link. It should start with https:// and contain tiktok.com.
  • If you copied from a shortened link (vm.tiktok.com), open it in your browser once first so it expands, then copy the full address.
  • Try again in a moment — TikTok occasionally rate-limits requests, and a retry usually clears it.

Keep the file small enough to share

HD TikTok downloads can be 20–50MB, which is too large to send comfortably on WhatsApp. If you plan to forward the clip, run it through a compressor first — it shrinks the file substantially with very little visible quality loss, and it works right in your browser so the video never gets uploaded anywhere.

A note on using other people's videos

Downloading your own content, or content you have permission to use, is fine. Re-uploading somebody else's video as if it were yours is not — it breaks copyright law and TikTok's community guidelines, and it can get your account removed. If you repost, credit the original creator and get their permission first.
