How to Download Facebook Videos and Reels in HD

Facebook's "Save video" option only adds a post to your saved list inside the app. If the original poster deletes the video or the Page disappears, your saved link breaks and the content is lost — you never actually had a copy.
Downloading gives you the real MP4 file that stays on your device. Here is how to do it from any public Facebook video or Reel.

Copy the video link
Tap the Share option on the video and choose "Copy link". Short fb.watch links work too.

Getting the link on mobile vs desktop
On the mobile app, tap the three dots on the post or the Share arrow, then "Copy link". On desktop, you can also right-click the video and choose "Show video URL", or simply copy the address from your browser bar when viewing the video on its own page.

What quality will you get?
You can only download at the quality the video was originally uploaded in. If someone posted a low-resolution clip, no tool can magically add detail that was never there. When HD is available you will see it as an option; if only SD appears, that is what exists.
